Burtonesque Gibson Girl

Very pleased with this blousewaist I made! I used Folkwear ‘Gibson Girl Blouse’ pattern for it. The skirt is a recycled piece I made a couple of years ago (Truly Victorian 298) and I made the belt pattern myself. Hat is from the lovely Kat’s Lullaby.

Leipsch Light

This year was my first WGT, and it was a strange one! I was determined to go, even though I was and am very ill. Had a good time, but only a few pictures to share. The first outfit is all by me including hat, the second outfit has a skirt by Skeletons in the Closet and a thrifted jacket. Here we go:

Tank you!

What do you get when you combine 6 awesome photographers, 14 selected models and one beautiful location for a Steampunk/Dieselpunk shoot? An epic day with epic pictures, that’s for sure. T(h)ank you, Cpt Constance Bashford, for organising this day!

My outfit was inspired by Tank Girl, with my own steampunk twist to it. Did I mention it was super difficult to model with glasses when you’re not used to it?

Here’s an early selection, I will add more pictures when I receive them.

Oil Painting Portraits

A couple of special portraits by Laura Sheridan’s Art! One of the special things in this shoot was that we actually lit the candles for a few seconds, and the flames were not photoshopped in. Laura knows about working with fire, so even though it was exciting, it wasn’t really scary.

The candle shoulderpiece and red moonbelt were made by me, and the pretty steampunk jewelry I am wearing in the third picture is by Godesign Steampunk & Vintage Jewelry. I did my own make up, but the styling was something Laura and I did together.

One might recognise the outfit in the last picture, it is actually the same as in my last blog post. It is great to see how a photographer can change an outfit into their own perception of it!

Wick Witch

Time to share the first images of my Wick Witch. The second picture is a wetplate collodion photograph I had made at Danse Macabre. Hard to capture with a phone camera, but I love it!

Mystic Shaman

Spook season is upon us! Are you ready for some dark, gothic-y goodness?

This is the Mystic Shaman that Jurgen de Boer and I created. Styling and makeup by me, beautiful necklace by CuNature.
